2021 COVID Vaccine Greeter Volunteer Online Orientation Sessions
Stanford Children's Health recently opened up vaccination sites around the Bay Area. In efforts to assist with vaccinating our pediatric population, Volunteer Services is recruiting volunteers for the COVID Vaccine Greeter Program in San Jose, Pleasanton and other Stanford Children's Health vaccination sites as they become available. These volunteer shifts will take place outdoors and volunteers will be on their feet a majority of the time.
We are not recruiting for any other volunteer positions (including waitlists) at this time.
Qualifications: Must have excellent communication skills, sensitivity and good judgment. Ability to use resources effectively in providing information. Ability to interact with patients, families and staff in a non-judgmental, non-intrusive manner. Self-starter with the ability to observe and/or seek out when or where assistance is needed. Requires the ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, to lift luggage, packages and physically assist patients in and out of vehicles, wheelchairs and wagons. Please understand that this is not a one-time volunteer opportunity. We are asking for at least a 6-month commitment so that the vaccine sites are not struggling with support.
